What are You Reading in April?
The first thing I read in March Is it not obvious? by Rachel Runya Katz, a bi4bi M/F romance that I really enjoyed. I mean, the main character runs a quirky teen book club, so of course I’d love that.
That was the book I spent most of March reading heart of hell A Recap, by Alexis Hall moby dick Install in space. It was fun, but like the source material it’s quite long and windy, so it took me a while to finish. (This concludes Task #20: Read a book set in space.)
Back then, I was looking for a quick read, so I picked it up Laid-Back Camp, Vol. 17 By Afro, which is the perfect relaxing, feel-good, palette-cleanser of a manga series.
I have just started left hand of darkness Ursula K. By Le Guin, which is a book club pick. I only have a few chapters so I don’t have a good understanding of it yet, but I’ll let you know what I think about it!
As far as my April reading plans go, my second weird book club read heated rivalry By Rachel Reed, so I’m finally going to pick it up. better late than never!
For readathons, here are some options on my TBR stack:
Singing Hills Cycle by Nghi Vo, which is a fantasy novel series. (This concludes Task #4: Read a novel with a main character who uses they/them pronouns.)
insider Written by Mark Oshiro, a middle grade book about a magical room that connects three kids from different schools who all feel like outsiders. (This concludes Task #14: Read a work of magical realism or fiction.)
how to lose a ghost in ten days By Jesse Silva, a cozy romance about a half-child and a ghost forced to become roommates who end up falling in love with each other. (This concludes task #9: Read a romantic book with a queer and/or BIPOC main character.)
